We did arrive at 4:00 PM for check-in but was told when we pulled up that they were still cleaning the cabin. Also, you will be warned about the steep drive up which is very scary at first but once you do it a few times it gets less scary.

The TVs were a little tricky and we never figured out how to be able to watch TV even with the instructions that were left there. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of places to sleep. The cabin was really nice and we enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and seeing 2 baby deer eat each morning. The cabin is central to Cherokee, Cashiers and Dillsboro which are the places we visited. Air conditioning is available for the warmer months, and propane heating with a gas fireplace in the basement for the cooler months. Outside the basement is a highly maintained hot tub with BOSE outdoor speakers.
