Valet laundry service is handled through the cabin steward. While the ship is in port, washing machines are closed (only dryers and irons can be used). All laundry machines accept coins only (can’t be operated using S&S cards). Each laundry room is equipped with 2-3 washers, 2-3 dryers, 1 ironing board/iron. Launderettes (open between 6:30 am – 12 midnight) are located on all cabin decks. Laundry facilities (Self Service Laundromats / passenger-use launderettes) are at extra-charge – $3,25 (per washer or dryer load) and $1,5 per box (detergent/water softener, dispensed from the vending machine in the room). It now has the same facilities and amenities as the sistership Sunshine (refitted in 2013 for USD 155 million). The refitted liner was transformed into Sunshine-Class vessel.
In 2019 (March-April) Carnival Triumph is scheduled to enter drydock for around USD 200 million refurbishment, after which it was renamed "Carnival Sunrise". Carnival Sunrise (1999-built as "Carnival Triumph", Fun Ship 2.0 refurbished in 2016, renamed “Sunrise” in 2019) is the second of two converted CCL Sunshine-class liners - with sisterships Carnival Sunshine (Carnival Destiny) and Victory-Radiance, and also Costa Cruises boats Fortuna and Magica.
